Akilpo Waterfall

Timing: 6 hours on the valley (up and down) or 8 to 9 hours to the lake (up and down)
Rating: Easy to moderate walk on the valley to Difficult if that includes the lake
  The trek to the Quebrada Akilpo( 4200 m) brought us to one of the few untouched valleys in the National Park Huascarán. With an amazing Polylepis forest and nice lake, rivers and waterfalls. Starting form Joncopampa, It's a trek through the valley,. The climb to Luguna Alkipo (4700 m) will be reward with a spectacular view on the summit, however, in order to achive it you must start very early, anyway the trek on the velley itself is very rewarding already and very easy too.
