Lake Churup

Timing : 2 to 3 hours walk from Pitec to the lake
1 hours by car from Huaraz to Pitec
Altitude : 4450 m
Rating : Moderate to difficult
  Below the nevado Churup lies a beautiful turquoise lake. We recomend you to make this trip only if you are in very good physical condition. From the starting point (Pitec) it is 3 hour of hard walking up, ending on a cliff and a waterfall by which you have to test your rock climbing skills (this part though is nothing for a rock climbing profetionals but can be hard for people with not climbing skills).
